Printing aging summary

The aging summary categorizes receivables by age (for example, 30-60 days) to indicate how long invoices have been outstanding. It aids in monitoring overdue accounts, prioritizing collections, and supporting financial reporting.


Prerequisites

Before working on Print aging grouped by age category (reports) screen, ensure the following prerequisites are met:

  • User permissions: Configure the user permissions including User type, Security user, Security group, Security assign user, and Security assign permissions in their respective screens to enable access to the Cash receipts home page screen.
  • LDC set up: Ensure the Local Distribution Company (LDC) is properly configured, to support invoice processing and cash receipt generation.
  • End user and Facility set up: Ensure the End user is fully configured and their Facility is properly set up before generating an invoice or cash receipt.
  • Legal entity setup: Additionally, ensure legal entity is configured in the Internal book structure screen to enable proper accounting and cash receipt creation.
  • Invoice generation: Ensure that Invoices and corresponding Cash receipts are generated for the selected end user.

Procedure to print aging summary

  1. Navigate to Cash receipts home page screen.
  2. Click Print aging summary icon in the top header to open respective screen.

  3. In the Print aging grouped by age category (reports) pop-up screen, first enable the checkbox to include corresponding field's information. The selected options will filter to produce related aging summary report accordingly.

    The table below provides lists the fields in the Report options section:

    Fields Description
    Restrict to single legal entity Select the associated legal entity to limit the report to transaction under that chosen entity, ensuring aging data reflects only that entity's account.
    Restrict to single LDC Select the associated LDC to show balances related to one LDC only.
    Filter by pool Select the related pool.
    Filter by rate/rider Choose the rate or rider type to include aging data for accounts tied that specific rate plan or rider.
    Restrict to single parent customer Select the parent customer.
    End user (Active only) Select the active end user.
    Restrict to single sales rep Choose the sales representative.
    LDC agency level Choose the agency level within the selected LDC.
    Age based on Select the date basis for aging calculation, either invoice date or due date.
    Aging groups Specify the age ranges used to group receivables.
    Show total balances (uncheck for speed) Select this option to include total balances. Unchecking it can speed up report generation.
    Show collection contact info Select this option to include contact information for collections purposes.
  4. On the Print aging grouped by age category (reports) screen, select any of the printing options in the top header to configure printing, preview, print, as described in the table below:

Summary

The aging summary report organizes receivables by age, providing a clear view of overdue invoices. It supports effective monitoring, prioritization of collections, and accurate tracking of outstanding balances.
